Parking -
Parking at Coyote Point Park is $5. Pre-paid parking passes will be available at both packet pick up times (we can only accept cash or check for parking passes). Please refer to the map on this page for parking areas.
Please arrive with enough time to park, pick up race number if necessary, and line up at start line. Race morning packet pickup/ late registration starts at 7:30AM.
Timing Chips -
This race will use an electronic timing chip system. You will be given a timing chip attached to a Velcro ankle strap at the same time you pick up your race number. THE CHIP NEEDS TO BE RETURNED after the race. If you pick up your chip and do not race for some reason, you are responsible for returning the chip. At the finish line we will have volunteers who will assist in removing the chip. If you do not return your chip you will be charged a $35 fee to replace the chip. The timing chips help us to ensure the accuracy of timing the event and make results available much more quickly than other timing procedures. The reusable chips as opposed to disposable ones help us to keep this event eco-friendly.
Start line - We ask that you “self seed” at the start line, meaning that faster people start in the front and slower runners/ walkers start in the back of the pack. There will be signs at the start with approximate pace times, please start in the area with your expected pace time. Jogging strollers - Though we love your children, we advise some caution when considering use of jogging strollers on this course as the trail will be in use in both directions and is not very wide in all spots. Please be advised that there is a decent sized hill that may be challenging for pushing a stroller. If you decide to bring your child along in a jogging stroller, you will be asked to start in the back of the starting pack, regardless of your running pace in order to insure the safety of other runners. Dogs - Though we love dogs please do not bring them to run with. Dogs are not allowed in Coyote Point Park. Water/Aid Stations - There will be 1 water station on the 5K course and 2 (one with the opportunity to get water out and back) on the 10K course. There are also limited public drinking fountains along the course. You may bring your own water bottles, or use the paper cups provided. There will be permanent and portable restrooms at the start/finish area as well as permanent restrooms in various places along the course. In order to make this a green and enjoyable event for all, please dispose of any gel wrappers, bottles, or any other garbage you may want to shed yourself of during the race at any of the aid stations throughout to race. Keep in mind, volunteers will need to collect any trash left on the course, please dispose of your items as close to the aid stations as possible. Post Race Festival - Participants who do not pick up packets early will receive a goody bag and event tee shirt after the race. There will be several vendors on site after the run. There will be light snacks and drinks at the post race festival, provided by various sponsors. Shoe Recycling - As part of our sustainable efforts, we will be holding a shoe recycling drive at the event. Please bring your used athletic shoes that you would like to donate. Shoes with life remaining in them will be given to people in need and will be worn again, while shoes at the end of their lives will be shipped off to the Nike Reuse a Shoe program and will be fully recycled. Awards -
Pictures - Professional photographers will be on site photographing runners at carious points on the course. You will receive an email after the event with information on how to order photos. You can also search for photos online at http://www.myepevents.com/. Please note that there is a no refund/ cancellation policy for this event.
Both the 5K and 10K distances will start and finish near the "knoll" at Coyote Point Park and will head South along the amply-wide Bay Trail past the marina and Coyote Point Yacht Club. This large trail hugs the water's edge for the majority of the run, giving participants stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and several of its bridges. The return path goes through the wooded Coyote Point "knoll" and past the famed Coyote Point Museum.

Runners will be greeted at the finish by a fun-filled festival area with post race food, drinks, and other surprises.
The run will be limited to 1000 registrants in the 5k and 10k events, and each will receive a commemorative technical tee shirt made from recycled fabrics.
The kids runs will both take place near the finish in a safe and secure track-like oval. All registered children will receive a special kids tee shirt.
The Bay Vista 5K/10K Run will be benefiting Building Peaceful Families, who is a Silicon Valley 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health, safety, and well being of children by educating, honoring, and encouraging involved, responsible, and committed parenting.
